About Bear Branch Ranch
Our
family began arriving in Callahan County, Texas in 1877. In that
year, J.B. Cutbirth drove his herd of cattle onto that soil. This
was the beginning of his permanent land possessions in Texas. He
had left home as a boy of nine years old to begin ranch work. By
eleven, he was driving herds into Kansas, and by the age of sixteen, he
had purchased his first beef cattle.
The Cutbirth-Bonner family is today in its sixth
generation of ranching. The years have not diluted the family's
love of the land. Presently, the great, great grandchildren of Mr. Cutbirth
are developing programs of wildlife management and conservation.
We welcome the serious hunter to come enjoy a beautiful
part of Texas that offers the excitment of game fence Whitetail hunts
and the challenge of open range Whitetail hunts. We also offer guided
Rio Grande Turkey hunts and Mourning Dove hunts.

Mission Statement
The Bear Branch Experience offers the excitement
of game fence hunting and the challenge of open range hunting. We
have approximately 4,200 acres of hunting land and nine miles of game fence.
Bear Branch guides will spend as much time as possible
in the field prescouting the ranch for all size bucks to ensure the most
successful and memorable hunt we can provide.

Bear Branch has a strict year round feeding program.
Our supplemental feeding program includes protein, soybean, corn, food
plots, and fresh water.
Multiple food plots and protein feeders provide maximum nutrition for our wildlife.
Providing a trophy class whitetail buck for each
hunter is the goal of Bear Branch Ranch.
